The challenge

Formic acid can serve as a liquid hydrogen carrier to store green electricity. However the sustainable production of formic acid still leaves a lot to be desired.

The solution

formic acid can be produced via electrochemical CO2 reduction. Sadly this is not an easy task. To achieve this we will first be doing quantum-chemical simulations and mass-transfer modeling in order to design an efficient system.
